Key Account Manager / Distribution Manager

Details: EMS Specialists in PERFORMANCE POLYMERS,  FINE CHEMICALS and ENGINEERINGWe are an international, successful, specialized company for Engineering Resins, Coatings, Adhesives and Fibers with an excellent opportunity for a:Key Account Manager - Packaging & Glass ReplacementMust be able to work in a home office or US Headquarters in Sumter, SC. Responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in maintaining existing business and developing  long-term strategies for the Packaging and Glass Replacement applications. Primary responsibility to implement the 1-YP for Commercial Business and develop new business  for Glass Replacement supporting the 3-YP New Business Development Plan. Responsible for coordinating Packaging and Glass Replacement Market activities and projects  within North America and with other EMS-GRIVORY companies worldwide. Duties include: establishing and maintaining a strong relationship with customers and end users;  initiating, coordinating, monitoring and successfully closing technical and sales projects. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of customer calls, expenses, itineraries and  weekly reports. BS in Mechanical, Chemical, Plastics Engineering or Business. Five years minimum prior sales/marketing and business development experience, with  demonstrated Business Planning and Leadership skills. Strong communication and computer skills, along with an understanding of major packaging processing technologies.  30-50% domestic travel with some International travel required. Ability to communicate in German a plus. Distribution ManagerApplicant must be willing to relocate to our US headquarters in Sumter, SC. Position responsible for developing and supporting short-and long-term projects via distribution partners to achieve the 1-YP Sales Plan. Establish and maintain a strong relationship with distribution partners, customers and prospects. Coordinate necessary  technical resources to support distributors, and provide recommendations on new indirect sales channels. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of customer calls, expenses,  itineraries, project lists, monthly reports, etc. Submit new ideas for applications or products to Marketing. Provide training and sales support to distribution partners. BS in  Chemical or Plastics Engineering or Business with minimum of 5 years experience in the plastics industry required. Excellent communication skills required along with good  organization and project management skills. Must be computer literate and have good presentation and training skills. 60-70% travel, some International, required. Ability  to communicate in German a plus.
