Job Title: Distribution and Transportation Specialist (Outbound Specialist)Job Location: Shreveport, LouisianaTransportation spends analysis - Monitor transportation spends by customer. Analyze transportation spend trend month over month by division. Audit outbound freight expenses (i.e. claims, expedited shipments, and assessorial charges). Monitor carrier rate bids by division & customer. Review spends opportunities monthly with Customer Service Manager. Review transportation claims & assessorial charges monthly with NAG finance. Meet 1x1 with Customer Service Representatives monthly to review transportation spend by customer & provide suggestions to reduce cost by customer while still maintaining routing compliance & customer satisfaction. Review transportation spend & impact to COPE in division MRMs. Monitor overall transportation spend in order to reduce spend cost, reduce impact to COPE and ensure more cost effective transportation modes.Transportation provider performance management- Adherence to routing guidelines. On time deliveries to customer. Launch execution (i.e. Review of appointments by customer, track & trace). Monitor delivery exceptions & make CS Representatives/CS Manager aware (i.e. damages, shortages, overages, late, call tags).Obtain monthly scorecards for review of delivery scoring. Maintain internal performance metrics. Partner with Customer Service Manager to ensure transportation providers adherence of performance metrics. Elevate performance issues through Customer Service Manager. Maintain measurement of transportation provider performance in order to ensure performance expectations are met on internal & external scorecards.Customer routing expectations- Ensure compliance with State & Federal regulations of shipping documentation. Maintain SOX compliance. Full knowledge of each customer routing requirements (i.e. Mode, carrier, appointment requirements). Identify & resolve customer location specific transportation issues. Meet with Customer Service Representatives to ensure up to date compliance. Resolve customer complaints on carriers. Manage visibility of consolidated freight. Ensure working knowledge is maintained for State, Federal, Dr. Reddy's & Customer guidelines in order to ensure compliance is maintained & increased customer satisfaction.
