Details: Industrial Chemical Sales, DistributionLocation: Louisville, KY Seeking experienced Technical Sales professionals with expertise selling specialty chemicals and additives to Industrial and Manufacturing customers in Kentucky, Southern IN, and Southern OH. As a Regional Sales Representative you will sell a wide variety of specialty and commodity chemicals that are used to produce commercial coatings, paints, sealants, adhesives, inks, lubricants, and other related finished products. Prior industrial chemical sales experience is required and existing relationships with chemical manufacturing plants and industrial customers within a 4-hour radius of Louisville, KY is highly preferred. Need a strong sales hunter and closer to work in a highly competitive regional market. Essential Job Functions include: Develop short and long term sales goals for company products in your designated sales territory Manage and grow existing base of business while developing new customers within the chemical distribution market serving the manufacturing, heavy industrial, energy, coatings, paints, adhesives, sealants, inks, and water treatment industries Establish strong relationships with target customers located in KY, IN, and OH Sell a variety of products which include: solvents, acids, bases, glycols, catalysts, defoamers, pigments, extenders, plasticizers, glycerine, polymers, ketones, chelants, lubricants, resins, surfactants, oils, silicones, alcohols, peroxides, and many others Lead collaborative sales effort utilizing internal technical experts to solve customers’ product formulation and application issues Recommend alternative chemistries that help improve product performance or reduce total costs Win new business from competitors through superior service and technical support Communicate sales progress and key customer contacts via central CRM database Work from a home office with periodic overnight travel (up to 30%)
