Details: descriptionPOSITION SUMMARYLead and direct the physical storage of raw materials and finished goods inventory. Leads floor personnel in activities related to the efficient flow of all material to and from the manufacturing floor. Assure prompt and accurate picking & shipping and receiving & put away for all customers, internal and external. Consistently emphasizes inventory accuracy and adherence to procedure.Execute duties with highest regard for safety, continuous improvement and cost reduction/containment.DESCRIPTION OF SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead, direct and assign jobs for shift crew in the department daily, always considering workload and priorities.React to interdepartmental personnel's inquires and requirements promptly and provides updates as necessary.Coordinate and participate in all receiving and shipping activity per procedure.Inputs inventory movement, receiving, shipping, etc. as necessary.Consolidate material in warehouse as necessary.Directs / performs cycle count activities and assists in reconciliationsCheck orders as the 1st or 2nd checker.Train, evaluate and retrain personnel in related procedures as required.Allow for smooth transition to next shift by informing appropriate department manager/supervisor/group leader of outstanding issues and reporting of activities (i.e. daily report, email and/or voicemail).Production conditions may be typical, but incumbent is expected to be watchful and proactive in making suggestions to improve environment.Coordinate movement of material to contract warehouses as assigned.Able to perform all duties of a Material Handler A or B. Assist in office duties, as needed.Participate in the inventory audit every six months.Performs all other duties as directed.Working hours: 2nd•-2 years experience with all facets of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving and inventory control•-Experience working in a production environment•-Knowledge of warehouse, distribution or inventory practices•-Knowledge of related OSHA regulations•-Familiarity and usage of AS400 based inventory control software•-Above average communications skills•-Basic computer entry skills (typing, printing, e-mail, and barcode scanning).•-Forklift and skyjack certifications•-Forklift trainer certification preferred•-Valid driver's license preferredRandstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
